Pre-Algebra Syllabus
Ms. Jones room 232
Students will be using Larson Pre-Algebra by Holt McDougal. Students will be focusing on number theory, numbers and operations, problem solving, geometry, expressions and equations, functions, measurement, set theory, data analysis, statistics, probability, rational numbers and exponents, proportionality and linear relationships, sampling and inference, logic, and graph theory .
The following Chapters will be covered:
Students are prepared with materials every day-pencil, notebook, books, homework
Students will fill in their warm-up sheet everyday and hand in on Friday for a grade
Students will have homework almost daily; look in your child’s agenda, as they are to write a daily calendar with class work and homework defined
All work should be done in pencil only
Please check powerschool often for updated grades
Assignment policy:
Students may hand in late assignments, however there is a deduction per day.
Attendance:
It is expected students will make up all missed work after they return to school within two days of their return.
Students can find missing work in the absent folder at school and should copy all missing calendars from their partner in their agenda. It is expected they do this work as soon as possible so they do not fall behind the rest of the class.

I’m looking forward to a very successful year. If you have and questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at the school or email [email protected]
